Entrecard Contest Craze

Recently, we have seen a mad rush by many blogs to hold Entrecard credit giveaways. If you don’t know yet what Entrecard is, just type it in any search engine and you’ll soon be swamped by results.

Why the generosity? Simple. It is free and many bloggers have so many credits they don’t mind giving away some - most of the time to boost the traffic to their blogs. But can this craze sustain itself? There are so many giveaways and credits flying around that people may get tired of it and just opt out. Whatever happened to the good old prize or cash giveaways? The contest idea is good but sometimes too much of a good thing may not necessarily be beneficial in the end.

It remains to be seen how things will develop but do be prepared to hear of many more contests with a ‘unique’ prize - Entrecard credits. Interesting, don’t you think so?
